Description: We are seeking a highly motivated graduate student to join our translational bioinformatics team as an intern in summer 2018, working on single cell sequencing analyses.
Bristol-Myers Squibb is the industry leader in immuno-oncology with life-saving medicines and a rich clinical portfolio of diverse modalities including monoclonal antibody, antibody drug conjugate, fusion protein, and combination regimes. The candidate will have the opportunity to actively partner with various bioinformatics groups across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
  • The intern will investigate state-of-art analytical methods, and apply them to single cell sequencing datasets from patients with autoimmune diseases or cancer indications to address questions in Drug discovery and development.
  • The candidate will have the opportunity to learn single cell technologies, analytical methods and visualization.
Key Requirements:
  • Current / former PhD or advanced year MS student enrolled in an academic program, PhD student completed qualifying exams preferred
  • Must be able to work full-time for at least 10 weeks
  • Pursuing a degree in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Biostatistics, Molecular Biology, Genetics or similar
  • Experience in R; experience in Linux or cloud computing environment preferred
  • Basic knowledge in molecular biology and next generation sequencing technology preferred
